SAN JOSE, Calif., May 8, 2023 – Lightbits®, the innovation leader in simple, flexible, and cost-efficient data platform solutions for any cloud, announced today that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Charla Bunton-Johnson, VP of Global Alliances and Channels, to its esteemed Women of the Channel (WOTC) list for 2023. The CRN 2023 WOTC honorees bring their creativity, strategic thinking, and leadership to bear in a variety of roles and responsibilities, but all are turning their unique talents toward driving success for their partners and customers. With this recognition, CRN honors these women for their unwavering dedication and commitment to furthering channel excellence.
Ms. Johnson is an experienced leader, executive, and manager with more than 30 years of marketing and sales experience in cloud, enterprise storage, security, networking, software businesses, and graphics she has found great success in both large and small organizations. Charla has led strategic and tactical efforts for companies where she emphasizes a “lead from any chair” approach, contributing individually and as executive management. Charla specializes in alliances, channel and field sales, and marketing with a keen eye on strategy in Cloud and emerging technologies.
“CRN’s WOTC recognition is a tremendous accolade for Charla, she has leveraged her years of experience and skill to work strategically to expand Lightbits’ footprint and grow world-class, channel-first initiatives to support our expanding list of partners and strengthen our alliances,” commented Kam Eshghi, Co-founder and CSO at Lightbits. “The demand for Cloud storage that is fast, efficient, and easy to consume is rapidly accelerating, and Charla works tirelessly to bring superior support and solutions to our partners that enable them to expand their businesses in this growing market.”
Delivered as a primary storage solution for many use cases through the Lightbits GoPurple global channel program, the Lightbits Data Platform helps organizations store, process, and manage data on the cloud with more flexibility and efficiency. The software-defined disaggregated architecture delivers predictable higher performance and lower costs and a better customer experience on both AWS and Azure enabling the migration of transactional and other latency-sensitive workloads to the cloud. It’s easy to use, plugs directly into Amazon EC2 instances and Azure Virtual Machines (VMs), works within common orchestration environments (Kubernetes, VMware, or OpenStack), and supports hybrid deployments offering the flexibility to port the license between on-premises storage servers and the public cloud.
“We are ecstatic to announce this year’s honorees and shine a light on these women for their significant achievements, knowing that what they’ve accomplished has paved the way for continued success within the IT channel,” said Blaine Raddon, CEO of The Channel Company. “The channel is stronger because of them, and we look forward to seeing what they do next.”
The 2023 Women of the Channel list will be featured in the June issue of CRN Magazine, with online coverage starting May 8 at www.CRN.com/WOTC.
