We are looking for really good software engineers. And by really good, we mean, really, really good. Your duties will include designing, implementing, debugging, fixing, testing, and bringing up the Lightbits system. The position is based in San Jose, CA or Israel and will be focused on developing solutions with our partner VMware.
Responsibilities
- Write high quality and high-performance user space software, as well as management software, in a variety of programming languages including but not limited to Java, Python & GO
- Develop complete solution with VMware vSphere, vCenter; including management integration
Desired Skills and Experience
- Deep understanding of VMware vSphere and hands-on experience developing plugins for vCenter management software
- Excellent knowledge and experience in multiple programming languages
- Ability to work independently and push through to completion. We value getting things done
- You need to know what makes computing systems “tick” and how to push them to their limits
- Understanding of VMware ESXi hypervisor as well as Linux operating system
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related fields
- At least three years of experience writing software that works in the real world
- Experience with high speed TCP & RDMA networking at link speed of 100Gbps is an advantage
- Experience with high performance storage & NVMe standard is an advantage
- Experience of writing VMware management software for storage is a big advantage
- Familiarity with platforms for managing containerized workloads and pools of compute & storage such as Kubernetes, Swarm & OpenStack is an advantage
